Golficity (Frank and Mike Fasano)

Golficity is two cousins from New Jersey, Frank and Mike Fasano, who went from the finance world to making golf their work.

Frank put the idea plainly to the New Jersey State Golf Association in 2023: they started it "as a passion to follow our journey with the game of golf." Their YouTube channel goes back to 2012, and this May, on the Content Clubhouse podcast, they looked back on 15 years of making golf content.

A lot has come out of that. Their original series DRIVE uses golf as a way into a place, its food and its people, from Turning Stone in upstate New York to Mike Strantz's courses in Virginia. Before that there was a destination travel series presented by FootJoy that took them to Scotland, Pinehurst, Kohler and Myrtle Beach. golficity.com is also home to The Golf Podcast. The most watched thing they have made is an attempt to hit John Daly's famous zero iron, at 3.6 million views, and one asking if it is the world's most realistic golf simulator has passed a million.

Watch one of their gear videos and you see how they work. They don't unbox things, they test them. When they wanted to know if golf shoes really matter, they went to FootJoy's Footwear Performance Lab at Manchester Lane, had their feet scanned, set baseline numbers on TrackMan, then hit balls in different shoes and fits. Without changing their swings, better fit, lacing, traction and stability pushed their clubhead and ball speed up. The simulator builds, practice ideas and on-course videos get the same treatment.
