Just The Tips

Just The Tips says it plainly in its tagline: "Golf shouldn't be this hard. We're figuring it out too." The channel's description names two people, Mike and Adam, and says it is for golfers who play with their buddies, take a trip a year, and want to shoot a few strokes lower without making it a second job.

The channel joined YouTube on March 15, 2023. It has 2,670 subscribers, 1,934 videos and more than 1.8 million views, and those totals include Shorts. Mike and Adam also run Just The Tips: The Golf Podcast, which has more than 100 episodes.

Their most watched regular video is a hole-by-hole tour of Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, at about 16,000 views, posted in November 2024. Next come two videos from Tot Hill Farm in North Carolina, at about 4,600 and 4,200 views.

What you get is course golf for people who plan a trip around it: hole-by-hole guides and reviews, challenges, and tips that stick. The channel's biggest project is The Strantz 7, where they play every course the architect Mike Strantz ever built. Their recent uploads are mostly Strantz courses and Myrtle Beach rounds.

We featured them on October 19 for the Caledonia rematch. Caledonia is a Strantz design in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, that opened in 1994 and plays 6,526 yards at par 70. The same two teams from last summer came back, and the description says the match comes down to one putt on 17, a par 3 that plays 156 yards from the Mallard tee.

They ended the video by thanking the whole Caledonia team for having them back.
