Kangaroo Golf

Most golf bets end with somebody buying the drinks. When Ezra lost a closest to the pin challenge, his ended with him on stage at Capo in South Boston, doing his first ever stand up set. That is Kangaroo Golf in one story.

They are a Boston crew who only opened their YouTube channel in January 2025. Ezra and Ethan are two of the regular faces, and both turn up on the Kangaroo Pod, the podcast they started in September 2025. The About page makes a plain promise: golf skits, challenges, a comedy series and a match every other week.

They have kept it. In under two years they have posted more than 440 videos and been watched more than 450 million times, with about 172,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 212,000 followers on Instagram. Along the way they played Wesley Bryan at his home course, got Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov out for a three hole match, and went to TPC Sawgrass. Their first ever match is still their most watched long video at 153,000 views, ahead of a 2v2 scramble with an angry pro shop guy.

Expect trash talk, and stakes. A 1v1v1 where the loser does karaoke. A tournament they ran themselves, then a $1,000 match against the winners. Between the matches come short skits about things every golfer has lived through, like deciding whether to wait for the green to clear or finding the hidden fees at the course, plus a comedy series with episodes like The Cart Girl. Nobody takes themselves seriously, but the golf still counts, and whoever loses pays up on camera.

We featured them on September 23 for the finale of Ezra's forfeit. Their note to viewers: "Go easy on him, it was his first time."
