Rob Beckett (LETS GOLF)

Rob Beckett introduces LETS GOLF as the channel of "a comedian who's not very good at golf," and he means it. He doesn't have a handicap. He does have a goal: play well enough to earn his place on the Portugal Cup, the golf trip he does with his mates.

His dad taught him the game, and he has been playing for around five years. His first round on TV came in 2021 on Sky's Rob & Romesh Vs, where he and Romesh Ranganathan got a lesson from Justin Rose and played St Andrews. He has admitted he never gave the clubs from that shoot back. Away from golf you will know him from 8 Out of 10 Cats, from winning Taskmaster, and from the Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast with Josh Widdicombe.

The channel only opened in March 2026, and the first full episode came out in May. Ten episodes in, it has more than 1.2 million views and about 29,500 subscribers. His most watched, Two Bad Golfers, One Big Motocaddy Giveaway with Tom Davis, is at 348,000, and the Mizuno fitting where the bag from that TV shoot turns out to be full of mismatched clubs has 175,000. Golf Monthly's Rob Spedding called it his favourite channel right now.

It is golf for everyone who has ever topped one off the first tee with people watching. He shows the bad shots, gets nervous when better players catch him up on the tee, plays his dad to find out who is the better Beckett, and goes back to Bromley Golf Centre, his hometown course. His golf mentor Stuart Syme, father of tour pro Connor Syme, has had a go at fixing his short game.

We featured him on October 4 for a day behind the scenes at Wentworth during the BMW PGA: the players' lounge, the range, Beef Johnston trying to sort out his pitching, and Tommy Fleetwood turning up in the middle of it.
