Mazelyn

Mazelyn has played golf for seven years and is open about where she wants to get to: scratch. Her channel, Mazelynt, is where she chases it with everybody watching, "documenting the highs, lows, and lessons learned along the way," as she puts it.

More than 250 videos and about 29,500 subscribers in, the list of people she has teed it up against is long. In her Walk On Wagers series she has played poker player Daniel Negreanu, former South African rugby player Rudy Paige at Stellenbosch, and a local at Erinvale. She took on Irish pro Conner O'Rourke at the K Club, played Jake Adams of Country Club Adjacent for money at Steele Canyon, and teamed up with LPGA Tour player Gigi Stoll in Chicks From The Tips to try to break par playing alternate shot from the back tees at Las Vegas Country Club. Walk On Wagers is what took off. Golfing with a stranger for $100 a hole has nearly 400,000 views, and the parking lot dad who played her for money is past 300,000.

Every video has one idea you can explain in a sentence. Somebody gets a head start, or there is money on it, or the tees move back, and then you stay to see who wins. That is the whole trick, and it works.

Take the one we featured on September 26. Her sister Mia, a beginner, played from the forward tees at Chevy Chase Country Club with a caddie on her bag, and Mazelyn played from her own tees. The title asks the question: can she beat her sister if the sister starts on the green? Watch it and find out.
