The Chapel Golf Club

Some families settle arguments at the dinner table. At The Chapel Golf Club they settle them over 18 holes in the backyard, and the winner keeps the medal until the next Monday.

The Chapel Golf Club is Dad and his son Cole, and the mini course they built themselves behind the house in Oregon. The holes are short, the lawn is the course, and they treat it like a real 18 because to them it is one. Golf is a religion here. That line opens the channel's About page, and the same page points you to the gear they used if you want to build a course of your own.

The channel has been on YouTube since February 2023, and back then it was reviewing a SkyTrak Plus simulator. The backyard course took over from there. There are 844 videos now and close to 12.8 million views. The two most watched are Dad vs Son matches from January 2025, Match #16 and Match #17, both past 117,000 views. That summer they ran their first tournament, the Mini US Open, and wrote under it, "the coverage will get better. I'm just learning." When the course record was set at 7 under in May 2024, they thought that would be a normal score. It wasn't. The record now belongs to Cole, a 43, which is 11 under.

What you get is a father and son who really want to beat each other. Most weeks that means Matchplay Monday, played for the medal, with titles like Cole's Tired of Dad Peacocking Around The House... He Wants The Medal Back! In Dad vs Friends, friends come over to try the course, and now and then the matches leave the backyard for a full-size course. In between are short clips of the putts that drop and the ones that don't, and the reactions to both.

We featured The Chapel Golf Club on October 23, the day after Don, known on the channel as Donnie Darts, came up from California to take on Dad in 18 holes of stroke play. Don filmed it too. Go and see who went home happy.
